JERRON PAXTON

Growing up in Los Angeles, Jerron Paxton would spend hours with his ears glued to the radio, avidly absorbing the nuances and history of traditional African-American music, a connection to his ancestral roots in the South.

Songwriter, heir to a tradition, and veritable living jukebox, Paxton approaches his art with a mixture of finesse and respect, punctuated with touches of humor and teasing.

Things Done Changed is an album of original songs that seem to come from another era, almost a century ago, when jazz and blues were more than entertainment – a means of personal and cultural survival.

Note by note, Paxton builds a bridge between past and future generations, singing of the sorrows and joys of the past and present.

BOBBIE

There are voices, rare, powerful and timeless, that grab your guts from the first listen. Bobbie’s is in line with the greats she has admired since childhood, Joni Mitchell and Dolly Parton in the lead.

Bobbie grew up a train ride from the French capital, but it was in the United States that she drew her musical inspirations, lulled by the blues and soul vinyls inherited from her father.

In his first album, The Sacred in the Ordinarywe discover 11 songs crafted to hit the heart, which sound like Americana folk classics!
