It’s been a month since a large number of agents at the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (Insee) have denounced the practices of their management. They mobilized in front of the management offices on Tuesday.
This Tuesday, around thirty agents from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (Insee) gathered in front of the Regional Directorate building to denounce “the authoritarian excesses of their management”.
“In reality, we have been mobilized for a month: since the automatic transfer of the head of the Studies and Dissemination department, indicates a staff representative wishing to remain anonymous. It was not a disciplinary sanction, so he did not could not defend himself and was presented with a fait accompli.” The employees believe that this transfer is linked to the differences that existed between him and the director. “He notably brought feedback from his agents on suffering at work within the framework of the “DUERP”, regulatory framework for occupational health, before having to withdraw them at the request of the director,” underlines the CGT in a press release.
“The straw”
After having lived for years in an anxiety-provoking climate, this exclusion was experienced as “the straw that broke the camel’s back”.
Very quickly, this agent’s direct colleagues, then a large number of agents, wanted to express their disagreement. More generally, “we denounce excessive controls, the infantilization of agents and violent remarks”. The staff representative indicates that she has not received a response from management regarding the facts reported.
INSEE agents are asking “at a minimum the establishment of an external and impartial audit to measure the level of well-being in the teams and identify levers for improvement”.
Two successive petitions were delivered to the Director General
When asked, the INSEE management has not yet responded. The agents say they are ready for other mobilization actions if they are not heard.
