Faced with the human and material tragedy caused by Cyclone Chido, Franck Louvrier, mayor of La Baule-Escoublac, will propose to the Municipal Council this Friday, December 20, the vote on an exceptional subsidy of €10,000 in favor of Civil Protection in Mayotte . Emergency aid which will support the Mayoress affected by this disaster of exceptional magnitude.

“In Mayotte, this cyclone left behind bereaved families, destroyed homes and shattered lives. The plight of our compatriots concerns us all. By responding to the call launched by the Association of Mayors of France (AMF), we affirm that national solidarity is not an empty word for this French department. The people of Bauloise stand resolutely alongside the people of Mahor to help them get back on their feet and rebuild what has been lost” declares Franck Louvrier. The grant will be intended for emergency relief actions on the damaged island, distribution of essential goods, and rehabilitation of vital infrastructure, carried out by Civil Protection on site.
