A peregrine falcon, the Chartres cathedral and its labyrinth, a sapper outfit and an ax now symbolize the Chartres-Champhol barracks through a shield.
This project started last January. Florian Chemin, the president of the Association, retraced the process of this support: “Unlike other centers, we did not have a badge. We wanted to include emblems of our city. We sent emails to everyone to collect ideas. » A team of six people looked into this project.

A company was contacted to develop the association of the various symbols selected: “But the result was too childish and it was just a superposition of images. » The file was taken up internally, then entrusted to a graphic designer who added his little touch. The model has been validated, as the president confirms: “The colors, which were bright, have become darker and more sober. And the falcon has taken on a more significant dimension on the logo. »
A way of paying homage to this bird of prey which has nest boxes at the cathedral and whose role is to keep the pigeons away. The crest was unveiled on St. Barbara’s Day. The first copies, in fabric, were sold (€5). A new PVC edition has been ordered.
The Chartres-Champhol Association intends to ride this momentum to assert the image of its center: “We plan to reproduce our logo on water bottles, towels, cups, t-shirts…” In the meantime, the crest is proudly worn on the central firefighters’ uniform.
