Contested on December 7 in Vincennes over 2,100m, the Prix d’Hautefort can serve as a reference race for the Quinté+ on Wednesday December 18. Three competitors took part and found themselves on the Gravelle plateau (Found Dairpet, Grez et Hove Vautier Bridge).

Ideally located behind the wings of the autostart (4), encountered Dairpet was in the center of the peloton behind Grez. The protégé of Jacques Bruneau was shifted by Matthieu Abrivard at the intersection of the tracks in order to keep contact with the first ones.
With number 5 behind the car, Grez gradually accelerated and placed himself in front Encountered Dairpet in second thickness. Because of the relays, he found himself locked in the center of the peloton, surrounded by Evening Wear, Astronascente Zac et Behind Bars.
The resident of Fabrice Souloy, Hove Pont Vautier, had to start on the second row (15). Starting wisely, he was penultimate when he passed the pole for the final kilometer.

Fifth at the start of the final straight, Encountered Dairpet produced a strong final effort, finishing second behind Evening Wear.
Grez chose the short course by diving on the rope side and found himself behind the back ofEvening Wear. The advantage ofArnaud Desmottes finished correctly and placed fourth just behind Behind Bars.
Ferré in this speed test, Hove Vautier Bridge did not participate in the final packaging and finished at his own pace, well behind the leaders.

Conclusion
Comfortable on the 2,100m course, Encountered Dairpet is also competitive over long distances. Capable of finishing very quickly, this consistent horse should play a leading role in this event.
Often placed but rarely winning, Grez showed quality on the speed lines. This Wednesday, he will make his return to the 2,850m, the distance over which he won on November 27, 2020.
Hove Vautier Bridge will be removed from the forelegs and will find François Lagadeuc who knows him perfectly. This 7-year-old competitor will try to reassure those around him.
