The week of December 16 to 20 is dedicated to literature and cinema in Bastia, with a series of events organized by the Musanostra association. On the program, eight films screened at the Studio Cinéma de Bastia, all based on literary works: phew love, For Argy, A son image, Welcome to Gattaca, Their children after them, The Queen’s Game, The animal kingdom et The fly. But the event is not limited to screenings. Meetings with authors and actors are also planned, allowing literature and cinema enthusiasts to extend the experience.
Thus, on Tuesday December 17 at 6:30 p.m., Michel Bussi, one of the most widely read French novelists, will be present at the auditorium of the Bastia Museum to interact with the public. Author of numerous bestsellers translated into around forty languages, Bussi will present his latest work The Assassins of the Dawnfreshly published.
On Wednesday December 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Alb’Oru, Dominique Memmi, writer, and Louis Memmi, actor, will take their place on stage. Dominique Memmi, author of Manchester Dream (ed. Marie Romaine), will present his work which traces the history of the construction of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao by the architect Frank Gehry. Louis Memmi, Corsican actor, will also be present to discuss his role in the film Their children after themadaptation of the eponymous novel by Nicolas Mathieu, winner of the Prix Goncourt.
