The Executive Committee of the Senegalese Football Federation met yesterday, Tuesday December 10, 2024, but was not able to evacuate all the points on the agenda.
As a result, the meeting will resume this Wednesday to finally validate the decisions. The question of the future coach of the Senegal national team was at the heart of the debates. But at the end of yesterday’s meeting, which lasted 13 rounds, nothing filtered out about Aliou Cissé’s successor on the “Lions” bench. According to L’Observateur, this question was indeed debated by the members of the Comex.

Will there be a call for tenders? Has a profile already been released? What is the fate of Pape Thiaw, who took over the interim? But at the end of the meeting, the members of the Comex remained silent. “Omerta.” “Wait until tomorrow (today), we will communicate when we have discussed all the points on the agenda,” they said, one by one, with a chilling smile and a tired look, no doubt because of the 13 clock rounds spent in a room with only two breaks.
Apart from the question of the coach, the members of the Comex discussed national and international competitions, as well as projects concerning new infrastructures. The Comex, which had promised to accelerate the pace for the choice of the future coach of the “Lions” before the end of 2024, is therefore continuing its meeting this Wednesday.
