A look back at the departmental Sainte-Barbe 2024 – Medialot

The ceremony took place at the Department's headquarters.

The Lot firefighters had the pleasure of organizing, Friday December 6 in Cahors, their fifteenth departmental Sainte-Barbe.

This ceremony, which was an opportunity to bring together, in a representative manner, all the actors of the Departmental Body as well as all the departmental authorities, parliamentarians as well as institutional partners of the SDIS, took place at the end of afternoon at the Lot Department headquarters in Regourd, Cahors.

After saluting the Departmental Corps flag, reviewing the troops and reading the message from the Minister of the Interior, 16 SDIS personnel were honored.

Claire Raulin, prefect of Lot, presented the following medals:

> Medal of honor for firefighters with rosette for exceptional services:

To honorary commander Michel Baysse, former head of CIS Salviac.

To Honorary Commander Jean-Paul Pancou, former head of the CIS Bagnac-sur-Célé.

To honorary captain Francis Jouvent, former deputy head of the CIS of Quatre-Routes.

To Captain Jean-Marc Mathieu, former head of the CIS of Quatre-Routes.

To Captain Gérard Morel-Bassoul, former head of the CIS Limogne-en-Quercy.

To Captain Jean-Louis Delpech, former head of center of CIS Cabrerets.

To Captain Philippe Cadenes, head of center of the CIS Latronquière.

To Chief Warrant Officer Dominique Soulié of the DDSIS.

> Medal of honor for firefighters, large gold level, for 40 years of service:

To Captain Didier , head of CIS Vayrac-Bétaille

> Medal of honor for firefighters, gold level, for 30 years of service:

To Commander Guillaume Michez, head of CIS Bretenoux.

To Lieutenant Pascal Males, head of CIS Gourdon.

To Chief Warrant Officer Vincent Joucla, head of CIS Castelfranc.

> Medal of honor for firefighters, silver level, for 20 years of service:

To Lieutenant Jean-Baptiste Fournet, head of CIS Figeac.

Pascal Lewicki, president of CASDIS, presented the following stripes.

> Nurse braid:

To Delphine Rossignol from CIS Lalbenque.

To Cyril Kleine of CIS Vayrac-Bétaille.

> Honorary commander’s stripe:

To Captain Jean-Marc Mathieu of the DDSIS.

To Captain Gérard Morel-Bassoul, former head of the CIS Limogne-en-Quercy.

To Captain Jean-Louis Delpech, former head of CIS Cabrerets.

Finally, Colonel Jean-François Galtié presented the flag of the Lot Departmental Fire Brigade to the new 2024 volunteer fire brigade recruits.

The participants then joined the François Mitterrand room to attend the authorities' speeches.

Before sharing a moment of conviviality around a reception offered by the Department, the presentation of the launch of the 2025-2027 volunteering plan was made as well as the delivery of a mission letter to the promotion of young firefighters (JSP3) as part of the departmental prize for civics and citizen engagement by Mr. Jean-Louis Martin, president of ANMONM (National Association of Members of the National Order of Merit) of Batch.
