The Sports Hall has become the new bowling playground from Plourivo (Côtes-d’Armor). Inaugurated in September, licensees of “Plouivo Pétanque Club” took possession of the premises.

Sheltered and dry, they enjoyed being able to play despite the recent bad weather that hit .

With his 50 licenseesincluding around thirty Plourivo and ten additional to be expected during the renewal of licenses in December, the Plourivo Pétanque Club is in a very promising dynamic.

The teams from division 2 and 3 have just won a victory against Yffiniac and Plouisy in the senior club championship.

A room covered with 5 modular play areas, plus 21 courts outside allow the club to organize or receive challenges.

Thus, a ten competitions including 5 officials, are planned for 2025, in particular, that of precision shooting at the departmental level, on March 1 and 2, 2025.

Also note: July 20 and August 17, 2025the club opens its doors which will allow everyone, licensed or not, to come and “tease the jack”.

The floor covering to be reviewed

One regret, however, is that the layer of sand which forms the floor covering of the Hall would not be not ideal for indoor play.

Two disadvantages: dust and the movement of sand by trampling which no longer guarantees a flat and regular surface. “A little gravel or a little more stable dust would have been more suitable,” declares Jean-Jacques Vitel, the President.

The town hall has been informed and will look into the problem.

We are also thinking about a project with the primary school to organize a leisure afternoon during which the children could discover pétanque. It wouldn't be until spring

Jean-Jacques Vitel

The general meeting of October 27 renewed the office for 4 years: Jean Jacques Vitel, President; Vice-president, Régis Boutin; Treasurer, Jean Pierre Letang; Secretary, Jean-Jacques Billien.

Club training takes place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2 p.m. at the Sports Hall, Allée du Mézou, in Plourivo.
