“Making sense”: this is the state of mind that drives the winners of this 2024 edition of the Top Companies of Indre. The eight leaders rewarded Tuesday, December 3 on the Equinoxe stage, by The New Republic and the CCI of Indre, with the help of their partners, dared to take the plunge and realize their dream or their ambition.
To dare
Sometimes as a couple, like Ophélie and Anthony Dézécot who changed their lives four years ago, leaving the Orléans region to manage a golf course in Indre; like Nasser and Jinan Harfoush who, tired of the Paris region, responded one day to a call from SOS Villages to take over a business in the small town of Chassignolles.
Get started
It was a need to return to his roots that pushed Olivier Paquet to open an eco-responsible clothing store in Argenton. “I found a little tranquility, meaning and beauty here,” he explains when asked if he has any regrets about leaving a career as a manager with the greatest Parisian couturiers.
“Making meaning” means turning your passion into a profession, like Thomas Bouy who, working in a furniture hardware store, decided one day to make crates to transport his dogs, his passion. Twenty years later, based in Mézières, he is at the head of Braveur Opti-Aménagement, twelve employees, awarded the Top Coup de cœur.
S’adapter
“Making sense” is also the aim of “big” companies, which want to adapt to the times. At Poinçonnet, Westrock (winner of the Top International) is studying the most effective way to replace plastic packaging for global beverage giants.
“Making meaning” is the driving force behind the entrepreneurial adventure. Adventures woven with passion and tenacity, resilience and enthusiasm.
