Ce Thursday December 5to end the year in style, the public service mobilizes throughout the Meuse to demand “dignified working conditions and denounce government policies perceived as degrading”.

At the call of a large inter-union movement (CGT, CFDT, FSU, FO, Solidaires, UNSA, among others), several gatherings are planned in the department.

Strong demands and required means

The unions denounce:

  • “The three-day waiting period in the event of illness, deemed discriminatory.
  • The freezing of the index point, which directly impacts the purchasing power of civil servants.
  • The glaring lack of resources in local public services.”

In a press release, FSU Meuse emphasizes that: “The cup is full. It’s time to get another budget and respect public officials. »

The unions also denounce a “climate of contempt towards public officials, illustrated by the reform of waiting days. This measure aims to save 1.2 billion euros, but it is done at the expense of agents, at the cost of their health,” deplores the CGT of Public Services.

Actions planned in the Meuse

The mobilization will be organized around three highlights:

  • HAS Verdun: gathering at 10 a.m., Place Galland in front of Margueritte high school. Participants are invited to come equipped with signs.
  • HAS Commerce: meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Place du Château to discuss the impacts of current policies.
  • HAS Bar-le-Duc: departmental demonstration at 2 p.m. at Reggio Square, with a call for massive mobilization.

The appointment is set for this Thursday.
