Defeated in the early legislative elections in July, the former LFI deputy for the 5th constituency of Gard was, unsurprisingly, re-elected mayor following the resignation of his predecessor.
The nomination was expected. Unsurprisingly, during the municipal council of Saint-Félix-de-Pallière, held this Monday, December 2, the former LFI deputy of the 5e constituency of Gard, Michel Sala, was re-elected mayor of the town following Bruno Weitz. The former parliamentarian, beaten in the legislative elections in July by Ciottist Alexandre Allegret-Pilot, held this position before entering parliament in June 2022. The law on the non-cumulation of constituents had thus forced him to leave his place from chief magistrate to that of simple advisor without delegation.
On November 8, Bruno Weitz, his replacement, announced his resignation for health reasons.

The latter, however, remains at the town hall as first deputy. A position he already held before the legislative election of Michel Sala two and a half years ago. Karine Leclercq and Sylvette Queral-Raymond, respectively 1re et 2e deputies of Bruno Weitz, both went down a notch in the organization chart and became 2e et 3e assistants.
