Significant resources have been committed to Poroani since 8 a.m. this morning, following the fire of a banga. A baby could not be saved by the family.
The accident took place around 8:00 a.m. this Tuesday morning in Poroani, in the 100 villas district. Firefighters were called to a fire in a sheet metal box attached to a Sim house. Inside, 4 children, aged 1 to 8, as well as their mother. Although she managed to get three children out of the house in time, the one-year-old baby was not so lucky and died in the fire.
Major emergency services were called in, but neighbors had already put out the fire. The firefighters did not have to intervene.

The mayor of the commune of Chirongui, Daouda Bihaki went to the scene to support the bereaved family.
“We experienced a tragedy in Poroani following a fire whose origin is not yet known…The whole village is saddened. Our thoughts are with the dad, the mom, everyone around him, the neighborhood. So we are here to support them“.
Several hypotheses on the origin of this fire have been put forward but it will be up to the authorities to shed light on this matter. The public prosecutor is expected in Poroani.
