Three vehicles were involved in an accident after a company of wild boars crossed the RD 347, at the exit of Montreuil-Bellay, Sunday December 1 in the evening. The accident caused significant delays.

Sunday 1^is December, around 7:45 p.m., a van was unable to avoid the company of wild boars which was then crossing departmental road 347, at the exit of Montreuil-Bellay and in the direction of Coudray-Macouard, near Saumur. The shock was brutal.

Two other cars, one traveling in the Saumur-Montreuil direction and the other in the opposite direction, collided a few moments later, to avoid the animals as well as the already damaged van. One of them in turn took a wild boar head-on.

Four people were involved in the accident, which caused no injuries, other than the animals, and no property damage. Eleven firefighters from the Montreuil-Bellay emergency center were mobilized, as well as the gendarmerie and the technical services of the Department. The accident caused significant traffic complications, which were cut off in both directions for a good hour.
