On the occasion of the national day against school bullying, a compliments day was implemented within the Max Jacob College in Josselin (Morbihan).
For several years, students have been made aware of the fight against school bullyingand the pHARe (harassment prevention) program at the national level was taken head-on by the educational team.
To contribute to the good school climatethis first highlight was an opportunity for all the students and adults to offer colorful papers, on which they wrote compliments, such as “The world needs you”, “I love your kindness” , or even “Your voice soothes me”, to people of their choice.
All in blue against harassment
In addition, a “dress code” had been chosen – namely blue (the official color against harassment) – and an aerial photo was taken with all the students and members of the educational team, to show everyone's commitment to this fight against harassment.
Throughout the school year, other actions and highlights will be carried out with students who have become “ambassadors against bullying”.
Motivated students
The students really enjoyed the day: “It was so good, so nice” say Niamh and Eyquem in unison. “I think there was a good atmosphere,” adds Adam.
“This allowed students to think about how they felt about other students to make them compliments, and it was an opportunity to discuss more with others,” analyzes Maelys.
