Tarnaise Crystèle, from the Le mohair de Gourjade farm, was selected for the final of the Miss France Agricole competition. A new opportunity for the breeder, who wishes to highlight women in agriculture.
She took it “as an experience to live”, or as “a fun adventure to do”, without pressure. Well the experience will continue for Crystèle, the 23-year-old from Tarnais who is participating in the Miss France Agricole 2025 competition!
The young woman, an angora goat breeder in Saint-Jean-de-Vals, in the south of the department, is among the 20 farmers selected for the “final” of the competition. The first step consisted of ranking, thanks to the votes of Internet users, in the first 20, out of around sixty candidates. For this, Crystèle published a photo and a text presenting her activity. She said: “For me, becoming a farmer was a little girl's dream that came true with my father's retirement and my settling in!”
A story that touched 1,600 Internet users, placing it among the 20 selected, far from the first (11,600 votes) but in a good place. However, “we are starting from scratch” for the final, which will not be decided by votes but by a jury of experts in agricultural issues. For this, Crystèle sent a detailed video to convince the jury.
She expresses her desire to highlight women farmers, and to show that it is possible to be feminine while managing a farm, faithful to her motto: “we can combine fashion and agriculture!”
The Miss France Agricole jury will reveal the names of the winner and her runners-up on December 14, at the same time as the Miss France ceremony.
