The winter campaign 2024-2025 extends from November 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. During this period, the State services in Tarn-et-Garonne call the actors of social monitoring and accommodation special attention to the most vulnerable people, including homeless people.

209 emergency accommodation places in Tarn-et-Garonne

The department currently records more than 209 emergency accommodation places, including places dedicated to victims of violence and women in pre- and post-maternity situations.

As a reminder, the winter break applies from November 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. During this period, the eviction of the tenant from his accommodation cannot take place, it is postponed.

Where are the accommodation centers located?

The accommodation centers are located in the municipalities of , Moissac, Montbeton, Castelsarrasin, Castelmayran, Lamagistère, Montech, d' et Sepfond. A shuttle has been made available by the operator Habitat et humanisme since Montauban towards Montbeton.

Four alert levels are in place:

  • level 0 green “Seasonal watch”
  • level 1 yellow vigilance “ Cold weather » (temperatures felt between -5° and -10°)
  • level 2 orange “Very cold” (temperatures felt between – 10° and – 18°)
  • level 3 red “Extreme Cold” (temperatures felt below – 18°).

It is the prefect of Tarn-et-Garonne who decides on the triggering of the different levels, on the basis of an assessment based both on the forecast of temperatures felt for 3 consecutive days (Météo data), on reports from 115 and other partners, but also on the needs identified by State services (rate of unfilled requests and saturation of accommodation systems).

Additional raids

As soon as level 1 is triggered, marauding is reinforced to increase the number of daily rounds, and will be further intensified in the event of a very cold episode, within an operational framework coordinated by the integrated reception and orientation service (SIAO).

Day receptionthe “Accueil Montauriol” association in Montauban will also see its opening range extended in the event of cold weather (level 1).

Finally, in the event of a severe cold spell, additional measures will be activated accordingly. Particular attention will then be paid to ensure the identification, sheltering and support of homeless people. These measures could take the form of the exceptional opening of reception areas, such as the Nègrepelisse community hall and a night stop in Montauban.
