Raphaëlle Pic died, trapped in her car, during bad weather in December 2019 in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. His family continues to pay tribute to him.
Five years after the death of Raphaëlle Pic, who died during bad weather in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence on December 1, 2019, no one forgets her. For Claude and his sister, this Monday, December 2, it was important to come and spend a few minutes at the stele installed at the site of the accident where their 34-year-old sister died.
Raphaëlle Pic found herself trapped in her car, between Saint-Maime and Villeneuve-Volx on departmental road 13, by rising waters. His body was only found the next day by his brother.
“It marks and it speaks to a lot of people, we see it. People talk to us about it and they call to tell us that they brought flowers or that they are thinking of her. It is for us a duty to remember to come today to pay tribute to him and tell him that we have not forgotten,” he declared.
“We miss her”
For family and friends, Raphaëlle will remain in the hearts. In tribute, everyone wants to move forward and enjoy life, which the young woman with a passion for travel did fully.
“She was great Rapha, she had a pig character, but everyone liked her. We miss her. We have children growing up and she doesn't see them growing up. There is a mother who lost her daughter and friends who lost their girlfriend”, adds Claude.
“Often, we have people who go on a trip and who tell us that they thought of Raphaëlle because it was a place she had gone to, or quite simply a little thing in life that makes us think of her “, he says.
But with strength, Raphaëlle's family wishes to move forward: “Afterwards, we all have our problems and we must not forget the people we love, we must take care of our loved ones and life goes on anyway.”
For several years, a stele has been installed at the site of the accident. This is a way for everyone to continue moving forward, while always thinking of the young woman.
