Clara Luciani, Vianney, Pharell Williams, the pianist Lang Lang but also Paul McCartney. For the latter, his producer quickly denied the information and Stéphane Bern also had to backpedal.
After 5 years of construction, Notre-Dame Cathedral will be reopened to the public on the weekend of December 7, the day when a major reopening concert will be given. Stéphane Bern was designated master of ceremonies for the evening. This Sunday, December 1, he was the guest of the CMédiatique show broadcast on France 5.
Among the already confirmed guests Clara Luciani, Vianney and the pianist Lang Lang, but during his appearance on France 5, Stéphane Bern announced the arrival of two other artists: Pharell Williams and Paul McCartney. The latter who would sing Imagine within the cathedral.
His producer denies in the evening
Only for Paul McCartney nothing was yet confirmed and his French producer, Jackie Lombard, explained to BFMTV, “that there have been a lot of rumors about it due to the fact that his two Paris concerts fall in the same week, but he is on tour and has to leave quickly.” She also explains that he actually “received an invitation” and that “It's a great honor for him. The production denies live participation. There is no recording planned either.”
Faced with the reaction of the singer's producer, Stéphane Bern explained himself on “let carried away by my enthusiasm”. “Nothing is confirmed for Sir McCartney but I pray for it every day” he adds. According to BFMTV, the host would have consulted a driver who was not up to date.
France
