Little known to the general public, the digital guide La Liste draws up an international ranking of 1,000 best restaurants in the world. For this, the authors follow closely 35,000 restaurants across 200 countries around the worldusing an algorithm that compiles thousands of sources (guides, blogs and press articles). The aim is to award a score out of 100 points to establishments.
Five Reunion Island tables are present in the 2025 list and are therefore in the top 1,000 best restaurants in the world:
- The Blue Margouillat (Saint-Leu)
- L’Ambéric (Le Tampon)
- Ben's Workshop (Saint-Denis)
- The Pitey hut (Saint-Louis)
- The Villa Fleurié (Saint-Denis)
The five restaurants have an average of 75.5/100 and are ranked in the 900th.
In 2023, six establishments were on The List. In addition to the five that we found this year, there was the Diana Déa Lodge, which therefore fell out of the ranking.
With 99.5/100, it is the restaurant of starred chef Guy Savoy in Paris which retains its first place for the eighth consecutive year. He shares first place in The List with eight other restaurants located in Switzerland, Great Britain, the United States, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong and another in France, La Vague d'Or in Saint-Tropez by Arnaud Donckele.
