Showers affect the western slopes and the flanks of the volcano. The Saint-Paul coastline could see a few drops. The thermometer will rise to 32°C at the edge of the lagoon.
“Reunion is cut in two at daybreak”, this Monday, December 2, 2024, “with cloudy weather punctuated by a few showers in the North and East and brighter skies in the West and South”writes Météo-France La Réunion.
This very variable weather sets in over the hours in the interior, along the western slopes and the flanks of the volcano. Showers are also expected on the coastal edges of the South Savage and La Possession in Saint-Leu via Saint-Paul.
The East-Northeast flow does not slow down. Gusts of 60 km/h are expected in the wild South. This wind is also very present towards Le Port (50 km/h). A breeze regime dominates in the other sectors.
Temperatures remain very high. The mercury rises from 29°C from Sainte-Rose to Saint-Benoît to 32°C towards Saline-les-Bains. It is also on the rise in cirques with 29 in La Nouvelle, 27 in Cilaos and 25°C in Salazie. The temperature fluctuates between 19 and 20°C on Maïdo and Pas de Bellecombe-Jacob.
The sea is generally rough. It will be calmer between Pointe-des-Aigrettes and Sainte-Suzanne.
