On the other hand, there are the new ones: Alessandro Zappala (Evere/PS); Charles Spapens (Forest/PS); Romain de Reusme (Ixelles/PS); and David Leisterh (Watermael-Boitsfort/MR). In Koekelberg, the usual administrative checks concerning the recent designation of Olivia P’Tito are underway.

In Saint-Josse, the elections were canceled following irregularities observed in proxy voting. In Schaerbeek, negotiations are continuing to try to find a coalition. If the ceremony took place in a relaxed atmosphere, it was marked by the call from Oliver Maingain and Benoît Cerexhe for cohesion between the mayors to face the financial and institutional “threats” hovering over the institution. municipal. “Faced with the merger dreams of some, I have no doubt that we will be keen to demonstrate the importance of municipalities as local democratic anchors”stressed Olivier Maingain. “We will need the energy of all the mayors to defend together the institution in which citizens undoubtedly have the most confidence today”engaged Benoît Cerexhe.
