Bassin Aveyron judo is faithful to the big meeting at the national tournament, proposed by the Occitanie league, which took place in Moissac. The Penchotin club won two beautiful medals (gold and bronze).
Jayson Delagnes, minimal first year, and sole representative in the lightweight category (in – 38 kg), opens the tournament in the largest weight category, 44 entered. He managed to dominate the first phase of the group competition and moved up the table. He then lost against a Spaniard, brown belt. After having already won a nice bronze medal at the Grand Prix d'Occitanie in Auch, he will redouble his efforts and progress further.
In the afternoon, four juniors took to the combat surface: Ileana Hamada in – 57 kg did not manage to get out of the group and Mila Rivière ranked 7th in – 70 kg. They were able to gauge the levels and establish an assessment with the coach and Nathan Géraud as assistant coach to improve.
As for Kiéra Feraud Skrzypczuk in – 63 kg, she repeated the good performance of last season and obtained a well-deserved bronze medal. Finally, Timéo Géraud presents himself in – 66 kg. Expected for selection in the Occitanie junior elite, he started the tournament boosted by this pressure but also by the desire to imitate Alex Noyé, his childhood judo friend who had won gold the season last in the same weight category, Timéo climbs to the highest step of the podium, winning all 6 fights! He is therefore logically the first in the ranking list and an elite member of Occitanie, especially since he obtained gold two weeks previously at the Grand Prix d'Occitanie in Auch.
