With the opening of a new site in Salé and the extension of its Kénitra factory, Forvia, a global player in the automotive industry, is strengthening its strategic partnership with Morocco. These projects demonstrate the equipment manufacturer’s confidence in the competitive potential of the Kingdom and mark a key step for local integration.
By inaugurating two new industrial infrastructures, Forvia, the seventh global supplier of automotive technologies, affirms its confidence in the Moroccan industrial ecosystem. This double ceremony, marked by the opening of a site in Salé and the extension of a factory in Kénitra, highlights the strategic role of the Kingdom in the global value chain of the automotive sector.
An inauguration under the sign of industrial excellence
At the Technopolis Industrial Acceleration Zone in Salé, Forvia unveiled a new production unit in the presence of Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Patrick Koller, Managing Director of Forvia. During this event, Mezzour welcomed this achievement, stressing that the renewed confidence of a global leader like Forvia is a testimony to the competitiveness and potential of Moroccan industry.
This dynamism continued with the inauguration of the extension of the Kénitra factory, which almost doubles its production capacity. These advances are part of Forvia’s vision to strengthen its capabilities to meet the growing needs of the European and local markets.
A significant economic and social impact
Forvia’s ambition in Morocco is not limited to industrial expansion. The two new infrastructures will contribute to the creation of around 2,000 jobs by 2027, thus strengthening the vocation of the Moroccan automotive sector as a key lever of employment and economic development. With three operational factories, two in Kénitra and one in Salé, and a total workforce of nearly 4,000 employees, Forvia confirms its leading role in industrialization and local integration.
A long-standing presence in Morocco
Established since 2008, Forvia has managed to build a solid partnership with Morocco, exploiting the country’s assets, notably its strategic geographical position and its favorable economic environment.
The company manufactures automobile fascias, dashboards, interior door panels, and assembles exhaust gas post-treatment systems, thus contributing to the diversity and sophistication of Moroccan automobile production.
With these new investments, Forvia supports the upscaling of the sector, confirming the country’s position as a regional automotive hub. This double inauguration represents an important milestone for the national industry.
