RC Saint-Joseph won the match between it and Étoile Sportive Ornaysienne of La Roche-sur-Yon during the 8th round of the Coupe de this Saturday, November 30. This victory by 3 goals to 1 allows the Martinicans to compete in the 32nd finals of the competition. The meeting took place at the Henri-Desgranges stadium in La Roche-sur-Yon.

The RC Saint-Joseph players had a date with history this Saturday, November 30. The Joséphine team participated for the first time in the 8th round of the Coupe de France. Under the thick fog of the Henri Desgrange stadium in La Roche-sur-Yon, the Martinicans faced ESO La Roche of National 3.

From the first minutes, the La Roche players put pressure on the Joséphins to try to find the fault. But that’s without counting on the determination of the Martinicans. In the 22nd minute, Florian Goma, the captain of RC Saint-Joseph opened the scoring.

Before the 40th minute, we observed a little slack on both sides of the field, which still benefited the Racing club. Between the cold and the mist, the athletes evolve in difficult weather conditions.

Upon returning from the locker room, no change of players. In the 49th minute, Jiovanie Barba missed a great opportunity. The Martinicans still lead by 1 goal to 0.

During the 2nd period, mistakes and small errors followed one another on both sides. The La Roche players are trying to give a new rhythm and bring intensity to the match to catch up. This tactic allows ESOF to equalize on a free kick at la 72e.

Only 3 minutes later, Jérémy Ludon's players scored a second goal and regained the advantage to the great joy of the supporters. In the 84th minute, Lucas Ardenne, RC Saint-Joseph midfielder, scores the 3rd goal and confirms Martinique's domination.

They came on a mission and they did it! This victory allows RC Saint-Joseph (3-1) to qualify for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France.
