The lifeless body of a 53-year-old Belgian was found Thursday evening in the rubble of an accident that occurred Tuesday on the construction site of a biogas plant installed on the island of Funen, Denmark. The information was confirmed by the Danish police.

Emergency services and police on the island of Funen searched for almost 48 hours for the body of a man who went missing following the accident at this biogas plant in Flemløse. This research was made difficult by the spill of nearly 750 tonnes of liquid concrete, which began to solidify after the incident. A body was finally found Thursday evening around 7 p.m.

It concerns that of a Belgian aged 53, the Danish police confirmed in a press release. Relatives have been notified of this death. The final report shows three deaths – including two of Romanian nationality – and six injured – including a Belgian -, indicated the police. According to Danish media reports, around ten workers were working on the roof of a silo at the biogas plant when the accident occurred on Tuesday evening around 6 p.m. The roof would then have collapsed. An investigation was opened to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
