The incredible adventure of the two Brestois brothers who created the posters for the Tour de France – Ouest-France evening edition

Cyril and Erwan Guiziou got their hands on creating posters at Stade Brestois. In their corner, first, then officially later. They are now tackling a mountain: the Tour de .

It's the story of two brothers from who have a lot of ideas, and who are starting to seriously make room for themselves in the sporting world.

It was in the gray of winter 2020, in the middle of a period of confinement, that they had the flair to release a poster representing the Francis-Le-Blé stadium, the playground of Stade Brestois footballers.

A very aesthetic poster where the stadium lights up in the evening, and put on sale on a hastily put together website. Word of mouth sometimes works miracles, the item sells particularly well.

“Following the article by West France at that time, Stade Brestois contacted us, and we entered the store”remember Cyril and Erwan Guiziou, 31 and 27 years old.

Stade Rennais after Brest

This is the beginning of the succes-story. In total, the two brothers released four posters on Stade Brestois and took an interest in Stade Rennais.

Bingo. Their poster on the Rouge et Noir interests the Brazilian club. They also form partnerships with Saint-Etienne and , and with more local events. In total, around thirty posters were created.

At the end of 2023, Cyril launched the website “L’annonceur français” then an SARL of the same name a few months later “to gain more scale and credibility”. They move production from their apartment to a business incubator, where they occupy 100 m² premises and work with two interns.

Erwan now devotes himself 100% to this activity. Cyril continues to work occasionally in sports events, but also devotes most of his time to “L'Afficheur français”.

“They rather give us carte blanche”

That's when the golden contract comes, almost unexpected. “We made a proposal for our products to ASO, organizer of the Tour de France, which was at the end of its contract with Displate. » Displate? A heavyweight in the sector, essential on search engines.

And it is the young Brestois who pocket the bet. “We are working on around ten posters”they say. A job that will not forget the Tour de France Femmes, a stage of which starts from Brest.

Several of these products should focus on legendary passages of the Grande Boucle, including the Tourmalet, which will be on the peloton's menu next year.

“At ASO, they give us carte blanche, but after that, they have to like it”indicates Cyril. The idea: “Propose something new. We don't want to repeat what has already been done. »

Bonus: by having the Tour de France license for one year, they are the only ones to have the right to use the logo. “And the Tour opens doors for us to many businesses, nationally and internationally. »

For 2025, the two brothers are already teeming with ideas. The first? “Why not recruit people?lance Cyril. When we released the project at the Stade Brestois, we didn't say to ourselves that we would have the Tour de France license four years later and that we would make a living from it. »
