The Pas-de-Calais firefighters intervened in Saint-Omer this Thursday, November 28, 2024 at the end of the morning. A man was seriously burned following a work accident in Arc . The victim was airlifted to the hospital center.

Two workers injured during work on an electrical transformer

Nearly 30 firefighters arrived on site, avenue du Général De Gaulle, at 11:20 a.m. for “smoke released from a 15,000 volt transformer”, details the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis).

Work accident left two injuredworkers who were working on the transformer. The first, aged 39, was slightly injured and was transported to the Helfaut hospital center.

The second, aged 53, was seriously burned. Emergency services transferred him to Lille hospital after taking care of him. The mayor of the town, François Decoster, was present on the scene.
