It was quite a scare that employees of the sugar factory district in Chalon-sur-Saône were treated to. These people working in the “Colint School” training center received several envelopes from abroad with suspicious powder, a white powder which was present in one of these envelopes. It has been analyzed and tested positive for plagueindicates this Wednesday the prefecture.
A monitoring cell activated by the prefecture
The Saône-et-Loire firefighters had to intervene with their fire cell. chemical risk to take charge six employees of this training center. They were transferred as a precaution to a nuclear, radiological, biological and chemical structure at the William-Morey Hospital Center in Chalon-sur-Saône. The prefecture of Saône-et-Loire specifies in a press release that it has activated a monitoring cell “in order to put in place all precautionary measures and coordinate the action of the various intervention and rescue services.”
