The Christmas bonus will be paid from Tuesday December 17 this year. Intended for beneficiaries of minimum social benefits, there will be no particular procedure to follow since it is paid automatically. In , it benefits more than 91,000 low-income households.

Initially announced for December 13, the Christmas bonus will finally be paid a little later, from Tuesday December 17.

For this year 2024, the government announced that the minimum amount of this end-of-year boost for the most modest French households was set at 152.45 euros (with the exception of Mayotte whose scale is specific) , the same amount as last year, due to the budgetary crisis.

This Christmas bonus concerns beneficiaries of active solidarity income (RSA), the specific solidarity allowance (ASS), the fixed bonus for resumption of activity and the retirement equivalent allowance (AER).

No particular procedure to follow. The bonus will be paid automatically by CAF, the Family Allowance Fund, in the week preceding the Christmas holidays. More than 91,000 Reunion households will be able to benefit from it. Nationally, more than 2.2 million households are affected in total.

The minimum amount of 152.45 euros is intended for example for single people benefiting from RSA. For a couple without children, or for a single person with a dependent child, it increases to 228.68 euros.

For a couple with a dependent child or a single person with two children, the premium is 274.41 euros. It can reach 457.35 euros for a single person with five dependent children (60.98 euros per additional person).
