Val-d'Oise: A man seriously injured with a knife on the square in front of Garges station

A 33-year-old man was seriously injured with a stab in front of the Garges – station, in Garges-lès- (Val-d'Oise), this Tuesday evening. A 29-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into police custody, we learned News17.

It was around 7:30 p.m. when the events took place. A man, believed to be homeless, was stabbed in the abdomen, in front of the Garges – Sarcelles station on the RER D line. Municipal police officers arrived first on the scene and provided first aid. to the victim who had a significant wound, supported by the national police officers who arrived shortly after.

The emergency services then took care of the thirty-year-old, transported to Gonesse hospital by SMUR doctors when he was in serious condition.

The police questioned witnesses and identified the alleged perpetrator of this violent attack, found a few hundred meters from the scene of the incident, on Salvador-Allende square. Living in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne), he was equipped with a knife which was seized by the police. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Sarcelles police station.
