Sad news. While the National Rally could emerge as the big winner of the legislative elections, Paris has just lost one of its most fervent opponents of the ideas conveyed by the extreme right. Monday, July 1, 2024, Julien Terzicsowner of the bar Le Saint-Sauveur in the 20th arrondissement of the capital, has died. The announcement was made on the Instagram account of this bastion of Parisian anti-fascism.

In the comments, friends, bar customers or simple traveling companions have paid tribute. “I will cry all the tears in my body for you today. And get up tomorrow to continue your struggles, all those values that you have transmitted to me these last twenty too short years.”

Clearly assumed positions which have earned the bar and its regulars the status of Target of far-right group. One evening in June 2020, members of the Zouaves Paris, heirs of the GUD, had organized a raid. Armed with pickaxes and tear gas, they had destroyed the terrace and gassed the customers present. Three people had been sentenced to prison terms.
