Nîmes Olympique already eliminated… Olympique d'Alès en Cévennes has the heavy task of taking on the costume of the last Gard club still in the running in the French Football Cup. And for the eighth round of the competition this weekend, the Alésiens are playing at home. Alès, a Nationale 3 club (and fifth in its group), hosts AS Cannes, which plays in Nationale 2 (15th in its championship).
In the previous round, Alès brought down another Gard club: Beaucaire (4-2). Cannes, for its part, came to qualify in Gard in the seventh round, winning at Grau-du-Roi (2-0).
