A civil security exercise at the “grand dam of Couesques”, located in the commune of Saint-Hippolyte, is organized by the prefecture ofAveyron on Thursday November 28, 2024. This exercise will simulate the rupture of the large Couesques dam following an exceptional flood.
During this exercise, three public alert systems will be tested.
SMS alert
In particular, the device FR-ALERT: it allows you to alert and inform via a notification or SMS, any person located in a danger zone. Neighboring municipalities may also be affected by FR-ALERT (Cassaniouze, Lapeyrugue, Montmurat, Montsalvy, Vieillevie). If applicable, no particular action will need to be taken upon receipt and any call to the emergency services or to the town hall, linked to this message, is therefore not necessary, for the inhabitants of these municipalities in Cantal.
