The story of Lady Diana and the now King Charles III ended tragically, that much is now well known. But it also began rather turbulently, according to the Mirror. As the wedding anniversary of one of the UK’s most famous couples approaches – it will be celebrated on 29th July – some have been looking at an event that took place a few weeks before the big day. The Mirror recalls that on July 3, 1981, during a garden party, Princess Diana – who would have celebrated her 63rd birthday this year – made comments that could have been worrying. The journalist John Edwards, who worked for the Daily Mirror, was in fact witness to a funny exchange. He explains : “She stopped really close to me, we were a few metres apart and someone said to her ‘Good luck darling’. She said ‘Thank you very much’ and then she put her hand over her mouth and she said ‘There was a terrible argument between Charles and me last night. It was his bachelor party'”.
