It was 9:03 p.m., Monday November 25, 2024, when the emergency services were alerted following a traffic accident in Montmagny (Val-d’Oise).
For a reason that remains to be determined, a motorist lost control of his vehicle while driving on rue Maurice-Berteaux. His car performed several barrels before collide with two parked vehicles.
Two absolute emergencies
The Val-d'Oise Departmental Fire and Rescue Service mobilized five engines and fifteen firefighters. On their arrival, they took charge of the driver and his two passengers at number 46 of the suburban street.
Seriously injured, two men aged 23 were evacuated in absolute emergency, one to the Beaujon hospital center in Cichy (Hauts-de-Seine), the other to the Conti clinic in L'Isle-Adam.
The third victim, less seriously affected, was taken urgently to Eaubonne hospital. It was a 25-year-old man.
Vitesse excessive ?
While an investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of the accident, the hypothesis of excessive speed causing the loss of control of the vehicle is favored.
