MONTRÉAL, July 2, 2024 /CNW/ – Air Canada announced today that it has entered into an agreement with BOC Aviation Limited (“BOC Aviation”) for the placement of eight Boeing 737-8 aircraft.

The eight aircraft are expected to be delivered in 2024, et required modifications will be made to them before they enter service in 2025. The aircraft will initially operate in an economy-only configuration until they are reconfigured at a later date to fully match the in-flight experience enjoyed by our customers on Air Canada’s standard two-cabin single-aisle aircraft. All eight aircraft will be powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines.
