TransmiCCIble: sellers and buyers find out about the transfer of businesses with the CCI Gard.
It is a real social problem, an economic and generational issue. Business takeovers have been experiencing ups and downs for several years now. The young are unable to find their happiness and the old have difficulty giving up their society so that it can experience new horizons.
The Gard Chamber of Commerce and Industry is trying to bring about change in continuity with TransmiCCIble.
Last Thursday, November 21, TransmiCCIble took place, the event dedicated to the transfer and takeover of businesses which brought together around a hundred people, sellers, buyers, professionals in the transmission sector at the Brasserie Le Drop in Nîmes.
« Passing on a business means passing on much more than a work tool, it means preserving know-how and jobs in the Gard region. Transmission is an essential step for an entrepreneur and must be prepared. TransmiCCIble is here to inform business leaders that they can be supported in their transmission » specifies Éric Giraudier President CCI Gard.
The objective of this event was to make sellers and buyers aware that the transfer of a business is a complex step that must be anticipated. During a round table punctuated by interventions from CCI Gard advisors, participants were able to understand that transmission is a long personal reflection (when to transmit? why transmit? Am I really ready?) which is being prepared. “ The human factor is very important in the transfer of a business, it is a meeting between a seller and a buyer, you must prepare for it in advance » indicate the advisors of the CCI Gard.
The round tables and conferences of the evening highlighted the importance of taking stock of the company to be transmitted in order to give a global vision to potential buyers and to reassure them. It is about highlighting the strong points of the company to be transmitted and working on the points of vigilance. All aspects must be taken into account: financial, accounting but also human and digital resources.
« It is important to present an organization chart to potential buyers so that they can identify each person's skills. Working on an organization chart and creating job descriptions help buyers to plan ahead and understand the role of everyone in the company. » specify the advisors of the CCI Gard. Another aspect not to be neglected: digital technology and in particular the reputation of the sold company on the web and social networks.
Finally, the speakers of the evening underlined the importance of the transferor-takeover duo when transferring a business. “ For a successful transfer, a handover period between the transferor and the transferee is necessary » specify the advisors of the CCI Gard.
The evening continued around a cocktail dinner with the presence of numerous business transfer experts: accountants, lawyers, banks. This moment of discussion allowed sellers and buyers to find out about their needs from expert organizations.
