Annabelle Brunet, centrist candidate in the first constituency of the Pyrénées-Orientales, was eliminated in the first round of the legislative elections this Sunday, June 30, 2024.

Annabelle Brunet presented herself as the voice of the centre, in the first constituency of the Pyrénées-Orientales, for these 2024 legislative elections. A proposal that did not convince, since she only obtained 2,328 votes or 4.87% of the votes, not enough to go through to the second round.

But the candidate wanted to call on her voters to make a republican awakening: “Although we do not own any of your votes, our goal is nevertheless common: we absolutely must prevent the RN from reaching an absolute majority. There is a great risk that it will succeed.“, she declared this Monday, July 1.

“Not a single vote should go to the National Rally, which is the only extreme capable of winning this election and whose program is a social, economic and humanist dead end. I will therefore vote for the candidate of the Popular Front, ignoring the component that represents it in this constituency,” she continued, thus calling for a blockade of the RN by voting NFP, despite the fact that an LFI candidate, Francis Daspe, represents it in the first constituency of the Pyrénées-Orientales.
