Despite rainy weather and inclement weather, the Villeneuve-sur-Lot canoe-kayak club (CKVSL) celebrated its 20th anniversary last Saturday at the Marine slipway. To celebrate this small festive event, all members and former members received a small invitation card.

With many activities that took place in an excellent atmosphere despite the rain. This is how several teams competed on the water in a relay race. The Dragon Boat also allowed families to paddle with an exclusively female team bringing together athletes aged 8 to 88. A kayak polo match but also many other small indoor activities including a quiz or a photo exhibition with images retracing the 20 years of existence of the club enlivened this day of celebration.

The participants were able to see the great development of the Villeneuve club over the past 2 decades. This anniversary of the CKVSL ended with an aperitif offered by the club, accompanied by speeches by the current president Michel Moreau and his predecessor Nicolas Frachisse. Two canoe-kayak enthusiasts who contributed to the great sporting success of this club on the banks of the Lot.

After this little festive interlude, things will get serious again for the canoe-kayak club with the French speed championships scheduled for early July in Gravelines where 5 Villeneuvois will be on deck. Finally, note that the sessions of the paddling school, the Paddle Health group and training will continue throughout the summer.
