Present in front of the press in the wake of the round of 16 won by Les Bleus against Belgium (1-0), and for which he finished man of the match, the French full-back called for a fight against the extreme right.
“Obviously I was disappointed to see the direction our country is taking. With great support for a party that is against our values, the values of living together, the values of respect and that wants to divide the French,” regretted the French defender of Barça, questioned on the subject. “But I think that there is a second round, that nothing is decided and that we still have to go and find the people who did not vote.”

Koundé fears less freedom with the RN in power
After his message published on social networks on Sunday, Jules Koundé reiterated his call not to give an absolute majority to the party led by Jordan Bardella. Already very clear the day before, the right-back of the Blues took advantage of his appearance in front of the media to add another layer.
“I think that with this, it will be important to block the extreme right, the National Rally party,” the 25-year-old added. “Because it is not a party that will lead our country towards more freedoms and more living together. That is my position.”
