She is set to play a “potentially influential” role in the White House, the New York TimesMonday, November 25. Portrait of one of the most loyal advisors to the future President of the United States.

Donald Trump reportedly once said that she was the “only member of his team who cared about him.” One of the few to have remained by his side through thick and thin, despite the legal proceedings and resounding scandals to which he was the subject. He would also consider her “as his daughter”. To the point that the site The Cut wondered, Tuesday, November 26: Would Natalie Harp be “the most devoted woman” to the politician? After the election of the new President of the United States, made official on Wednesday November 6, the 33-year-old assistant is in any case preparing to play a “potentially influential” role in the White House, revealed the New York Times Monday, November 25.

A medical error

His rise can be explained, first of all, by the affection Donald Trump has for him. It all started in 2019, when the latter watched an intervention by the Californian, invited on the set of Fox News. The thirty-year-old then thanks him for “saving her life”. The politician actually signed the law Right To Trywhich allows terminally ill patients to access experimental therapies.

Suffering from bone cancer for “most of her life”, Natalie Harp would have benefited from it herself – without however specifying what type of treatment she opted for. The young woman relates that in 2015, a nurse accidentally mixed her intravenous fluid with a sample of sterile water, which almost killed her. A medical error which would have caused intense pain, and would have forced her to remain in a wheelchair for a while. The 30-year-old also reportedly underwent two cycles of chemotherapy which did not work. And would have been refused access to clinical trials – until the law was passed Right to Try.

The Republican Convention

Touched by the young woman's words, Donald Trump invited her to speak on his behalf at the Republican Party Convention in 2020. A speech during which Natalie Harp returns to the painful episode she went through, expressing once again his gratitude to the politician.

Piercing gaze, stiff body, staccato delivery… The one who serves as a presenter for the far-right channel One America News unfolds her story without blinking. “I wouldn't be alive today without you,” begins the young woman, wearing a red dress and impeccable blonde curls, addressing Donald Trump. 5 years ago, I suffered from an illness known to be fatal. I survived. But I was diagnosed with a rare and terminal bone cancer.”

Before adding: “Democrats like to talk about health care as a human right. But the right to what? (…) I was told that I was a burden to my family and my country, and that by choosing to die early, I would be saving other people's lives by conserving resources for them, rather than by them. wasting it for a lost cause – mine.” And the thirty-year-old concludes: “No one wanted me for clinical trials (…) They did not give me the right to an experimental treatment, Mr. President. You did it. And without you, I would have died waiting for my requests to be approved.”

“My darling”

Three months later, Donald Trump lost the presidential election. A verdict that Natalie Harp struggles to accept. This also relays multiple conspiracy theories, ensuring that the politician's victory was “stolen” from him. Won over by such loyalty, the main party decides to hire her as an assistant. Natalie Harp quickly won the affection of her boss, thanks to her “bubbly and extroverted attitude”, which would help Donald Trump to “stay in a good mood”, confides Texas representative Ronny Jackson to the New York Times.

The former future president of the United States would now nickname her “my darling”, and would treat her “like his daughter”. In exchange, Natalie Harp would demonstrate unfailing dedication. On a daily basis, the latter does not leave the former real estate tycoon for a single step. She reportedly went so far as to trot behind his golf cart, during an outing in Scotland, to show him the most laudatory publications about him.

“The Human Printer”

There is indeed another characteristic of Natalie Harp that Donald Trump would particularly appreciate: his assistant never contradicts him. Better yet, she would tell him what he wants to hear. During the presidential campaign, the one that some of his colleagues would nickname “the human printer” would have followed the politician all day long, armed with his pocket printer and his set of batteries.

All with the aim of providing him with paper versions of laudatory articles and posts about him, largely from the far-right site Gateway Pundit : a media known for relaying conspiracy theories and other false alarms, specifies the New York Times. The young woman would, moreover, be inclined to publish on social networks the slightest messages dictated by her boss.

Worried employees

A lack of filters which would worry his colleagues. The latter would indeed strive to channel the future president. A task made more complex by the presence of Natalie Harp, especially since the assistant would sometimes take certain liberties. In particular that of organizing interviews for Donald Trump without notifying his press officers.

The Head of State's team would also have been forced to make up for some of its slip-ups. It is notably the young woman who allegedly pressed the “send” button when Donald Trump wanted to express his anger by text message to Miriam Adelson, a donor to his campaign. Messages in which he complains that the Preserve America political committee, financed by the billionaire, is run by “RINOs”: understand, people who are Republican in name only. He further claimed that Miriam Adelson's late husband would never have hired such managers. Text messages which almost cost the businessman the support of one of the biggest donors to his party. Intermediaries nevertheless worked to reconcile them.

Donald Trump's lawyers were also forced to intervene to ask him to delete a publication on his social network Truth, an illustration depicting the future president brandishing a baseball bat near prosecutor Alvin L. Bragg, on the point of indicting him. An image of which the politician would have become aware thanks to Natalie Harp. She also allegedly published on the same platform, at the Republican's request, more than 40 messages against E. Jean Carroll, who accuses the Republican of sexual assault. More recently, Natalie Harp allegedly posted what remained a private message from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, addressed to Donald Trump before the two leaders met for the first time in five years.

Letters from Natalie Harp

No matter: Natalie Harp wouldn't mind shining. The one whose Instagram account with 3,900 subscribers is currently in private mode – we can nevertheless see, on her profile photo, an image of her speech at the Republican Convention -, above all intends to highlight this boss whom she adores. If we believe the New York TimesNatalie Harp would have sent several letters to Donald Trump, in 2023, in which she would call him her “guardian and protector in this life”.

She further reportedly wrote: “You are all that matters to me.” Or: “I would never want to let you down.” In another letter, she would have expressed the wish to return to “this synergy” which once united them. “I want to bring you joy, so that we feel like we can go through a day without ever having to talk about work,” she reportedly added. Unbreakable links that could well lead Natalie Harp to reach the summits. “At the White House, Ms. Harp is likely to play a role very different from that of any presidential adviser in modern history,” indicates the American daily. The opportunity to reinvent herself alongside the one she admires so much.
