Teenager on scooter refuses to comply and knocks down policewoman

A 16-year-old boy riding a scooter was arrested in La Courneuve (Seine-Saint-Denis) on Friday afternoon after refusing to comply and hitting a policewoman. The minor is also suspected of threatening to kill the police officers after his arrest.

It all started around 4:40 p.m. on Rue de Saint-Denis, in the Cité des 4000, when a patrol ordered this teenager on his two-wheeler to stop for a check. The minor charged at a policewoman and hit her, injuring her ankle and arm. He was then arrested. “During his transport to the police station, he made death threats against the officers and tried to hit them.”says a source close to the case. “The events were filmed by the police’s body cameras”.

The injured 27-year-old policewoman was treated by the firefighters. She was given a work stoppage and her total incapacity for work (ITT) is not known.

He denies the facts

The teenager, already known to the police, was taken into custody. “He said he was insulted and beaten by the police officers, adding that during the check he was unable to brake in time to avoid knocking over the policewoman.”continues the same source. “He denied all the charges.”The minor was brought before the court this weekend and will be tried at a later date.
