C’East “a first in France” that the Pas-de-Calais department and its partners in the world of temporary work (or temporary, depending on communications) set up on Friday, November 22, in Arras.
The territory, the Social Action Fund for Temporary Work (FASTT), the Professional Fund for the Employment of Temporary Work (FPETT) and the professional trainer Akto have signed a joint agreement. The latter must help young people and RSA beneficiaries find temporary work.

In fact, the partners want to help this dual audience to qualify, to guarantee their attractiveness on the job market and to consolidate their professional career – and therefore their income. This will involve pooling resources, as well as shared monitoring.
The agreement aims to ensure that temporary workers have to do as little as possible on an administrative level while opening up professional opportunities for them, especially if they want to participate in major projects which are being prepared in the sector (such as the work on the Seine canal North, or the commitment to the renewal of the Mining Basin.)
As René Hocq, vice-president of the department in charge of social integration (and the RSA in the territory), recalls, “we made the political choice” to maintain budgets linked to professional integration. “This is our uniqueness: we want to develop local employment, for the public in our department. »
RSA beneficiaries already in demand
As for FASTT, which helps temporary workers with their social and economic difficulties, this partnership was also obvious. “ We asked ourselves: why not look at what is being done among our regional partners, says Aurélie Berthelot, territorial director. We definitely have things to say to each other. »
And clearly, instinct was correct. If the subjects treated by the two institutions are different, users come to them to resolve the same problem: their unstable economic situation. “We realized that our two audiences were very close. The department knows the users on issues related to the RSA, and the FASTT knows them by helping them find temporary work and secure their career. »
For Marc-Olivier Jouan, general director of FPETT, whose mission is to help temporary workers and job seekers to train, we must combat the cliché which describes temporary work as thankless and unstable. “It is also a means of professional development, skills acquisition and career security. » He hopes that the efforts of the signatories will bear fruit. “What is signed here could serve as a model in other departments. » Especially if the results are there.
