The inhabitants of Pont-Sainte-Maxencein Oise, will soon be able to benefit from the new square at the Town Hall. A construction site large-scale event, planned for four months, begins this Monday, November 25, 2024 in front of the town hall.

After a renovation of the interior of the building, built in 1929, then a modernization of its facades in recent years, it is now the square which will have a new look. A desire for the City to “preserve and beautify your heritage ».

Bitumen, trees and benches

The bitumen of the square will be replaced by a yellow granite “which will guarantee better infiltration of rainwater and limit the reflection of the sun,” announces the town hall.

Of the trees will be planted “to provide shade and coolness”. Shrubs, grasses and perennials that require little water will enhance everything.

The revegetation of this public pedestrian space, the installation of benches and its new layout will make it more pleasant and bring freshness to a mineralized space.
