The Mosaïque 23 association organized an open day this Wednesday, November 27, to showcase its work: supporting separated families, so that each parent can continue to see their children.
It's a delicate mission: how to protect children when parents separate in a very conflictual manner or in cases of domestic violence? The Mosaïque 23 association has premises in the center of Guéret. It is an apartment in which parents who do not have custody of their children can still see them, without meeting the other parent, in a safe and supervised environment. “It is also possible for grandparentsspecifies Isabelle Piveteau, director of Mosaïque 23. The goal is to rebuild the family bond.“
The association follows around fifty families each year, around ten are sent by a family affairs judge, often in a context of violence. “In this case, we have a protected space, in the constant presence of a professional, to support and be vigilant about what is happening during the visit.“
