As part of the International Day Against Violence Against Women, the Town Hall of the 10th arrondissement and the association Les Voix de la Paix invite you to a round table to discuss the place of women in global conflicts.
On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition Voices for Peace, to be discovered in the Town Hall of 10e until December 19, 2024, see you Monday November 25 for a round table on the theme: “Women in conflicts: victims or mediators? ». This will be hosted by Yann Boissiere,
president of the association Les Voix de la Paix, in the presence of the rabbi Ann-Gaëlle Attias and of Meriem Selmanipresident of the Social Protection Observatory.
This discussion, organized as part of the International Day to End Violence Against Women, will address the place of women in world conflictsthese being, with children, the first victims affected. In particular, sexual violence against women will be discussed in this context, which is most often denied or even deliberately concealed during conflicts so as not to tarnish one of the stakeholders, a movement or a cause. The role of women in attempts at pacification across the planet will also be discussed.
