He doesn’t live there, but the voters have comfortably installed him in the second round. Candidate for his own succession, Lionel Tivoli takes the lead in this election in the second constituency. The outgoing National Rally MP comes first in 66 out of 72 municipalities. Two years ago, he managed to put the outgoing MP Loïc Dombreval, from the presidential majority, in a runoff. 92 votes separated the two candidates. This time, the gap has become a chasm. With 48.08% of the vote, the leader of the RN in the Alpes-Maritimes imposes his base. Even going so far as to create surprises. As in Grasse where two years ago, he was relegated to third position. Today, he doubles his score: going from 20.02% in 2022 to 40.91% of the votes cast. Another notable fact is that he beats David Varrone to it at home.

The mayor of Andon is largely overtaken on his land: he collects 21.54% in his municipality against Lionel Tivoli who prances with 54.10% (during the first round of 2022, he had capitalized 32.76%). It is in La-Roque-en-Provence that the Horizons pour Ensemble candidate is popular with 45.71%. He is neck and neck with the outgoing deputy in Thiéry (with 26 votes each, or 28.26%, perfect equality). Across the entire constituency, David Varrone collects 16.53%.

During the previous legislative elections, the Ensemble candidate faced Lionel Tivoli in a duel thanks to 23.67% of the votes. It is now only a memory since it is the New Popular Front which will face the RN on Sunday. The left gained ground: 19.01% in the constituency. In 2022, Nupes won 18.82% of voters. Even if Leïla Tonnerre comes first in only three communes – Lieuche (where she is ahead of Lionel Tivoli by one vote), Sallagriffon (ahead of the RN with two votes more) and Entraunes (with the RN which collects five votes less than she) –, she is positioned in second place in 42 of them.

To find a place where Les Républicains came out on top in this territory, we must look at the ballot boxes in Pierlas (Simon Daragon won 34.38%, three votes behind the incumbent).

Despite the presence of the third deputy of Vence as a substitute, the LR candidate did not succeed in convincing in the city of Arts where he finds himself in fourth position with 9.49% of the votes, behind the RN (40.79% ), Together (23.02%) and the NFP (19.19%). It capitalizes a total of 10.33% of the voters’ votes.
