Brandon Ingram soon to be transferred to the Kings?

Brandon Ingram’s future is still uncertain, but the lanky Pelicans forward could well be headed to the Sacramento Kings. According to Sean Cunningham of FOX40 Newsthe track is serious and a Big Three Domantas Sabonis – De’Aaron Fox – Brandon Ingram could well see the light of day.

Lots of possibilities here, between the Pelicans and the Kings. Brandon Ingram only has one year left on his contract with the Pels, and he is eligible for a contract extension of 52 million per season. An extension… unlikely given the price, which is why the Kings track makes sense. Whether it’s a three-team trade or a package that includes Harrison Barnes and the 5, BI’s return to California makes a lot of sense. As a reminder, Brandon Ingram reached All-Star status under the coaching of Alvin Gentry, now in Sacramento’s front office.

Sources confirm Sacramento Kings are pursuing a trade for Brandon Ingram. I’m told Kings have had discussions with the Pelicans and it’s worth noting, Ingram was an emerging star under coach Alvin Gentry, who works in Kings front office.

A Sabonis-Fox-Ingram trio raises big defensive questions, but it’s a bit intriguing because the offensive side could do some serious damage. After a disappointing season in Sacramento, the arrival of Ingram could really revitalize the Kings’ roster and make the purple beam shine more regularly across the city’s sky.

In the middle of Free Agency 2024, we’re keeping an eye on the Brandon Ingram case at the Kings. An interesting way out for the forward who has never been able to count on his franchise player in the NBA Playoffs, despite the very recent arrival of Dejounte Murray… And why not, after all?
