Is Prince Harry privileged thanks to his notoriety and status? At least that’s what some people think. As explained The Sun this Monday July 1, the Duke of Sussex will receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service for his work at the Invictus Games at the ESPY Awards to be held in Los Angeles on July 11, 2024. An award that delighted him but which caused a lot of reaction across the Atlantic. The mother of a deceased soldier in particular expressed her discontent, explaining that it was his son, a war hero, who should have received it. The latter made some very remarkable comments. In the columns of the tabloid, Patrick Tillman’s mother, Mary, didn’t mince her words. “There were other people much more suitable and with less privilege who can earn it”she began. Very upset, the latter then clarified: “There are people who work in the veteran community who do amazing things to help veterans.” before directly attacking the Duke of Sussex. “These people do not have the money, resources, connections or privileges of Prince Harry. I think these people should be recognized“. That has the merit of being clear.
